OUR HISTORY
UAB Prekybos namai Waldis is a closely held corporation which was set up in 1991. The head office of the company is situated in Klaipeda, Lithuania. United Europe and a good location ensured dynamic development and specialization of the company which has become a significant commercial rival in the industrial chemistry, technical gases, fertilizers, and feed phosphates markets. Diversification in these spheres has helped to build up a really reliable and stable business.
TECHNICAL GASES
In 1997 the company bought storage facilities in Klaipeda, Lithuania's port city on the Baltic Sea, and organized certified technical gases selling in the Baltic region providing construction sectors of Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, and Poland with services of high quality. Furthermore they had been selling abrasive materials, goods and tools for safety gas-welding operations. Also at that time a privately owned motor transport park for specialized technical gases transportation was formed.
AGRO & CHEMICAL BUSINESS
In 2004 feed phosphates became the main products of the company. New storage facilities were used for keeping mineral supplement feeds which are used in production of feed and feed additives for animals. During the whole period of time the company had been selling phosphate, potassium and nitrogenous fertilizers. European consumers could get a variety of fertilizers including ammonium sulphate, potassium sulphate, ammophos, phosphate materials and aeroammonium sulfate by rail, sea or highway transport. Dynamic development of the Lithuanian chemical complex, especially in Klaipeda, stimulated the interest of the company in providing chemical plants with materials and components. The company had been offering polyethylene glycol, bisphenol and phthalic anhydride not only on the regional market but also on German, Dutch, British, Finnish markets and markets of other European Union countries.
INNOVATIONS
Beginning in 2005 Waldis has been leading investment activities in a new sphere - fine organic synthesis
adjoining with nanotechnology. Thanks to mutual cooperation with The A.E. Favorsky Irkutsk Institute of
Chemistry, Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences and fundamental works of B.A. Trofimov
(Academician and Director of Institute), the company has moved to a new world-class technological level.
UAB PN Waldis is a pioneer in unique technology of production tetrahydroindole and its derivates. These
